Our Philosophy:
Being in the wedding industry collectively for two decades with a database of clients that includes CEOs of Fortune 500 Companies, NBA stars, NFL Superbowl players, NASCAR drivers, MLB players, worldwide touring musicians and many more, CED has invaluable experiences that can’t be learned from a book or watching wedding shows. From the very beginning of every event, their main objective is to greatly reduce the stereotypical wedding stress by leaning on their abundance of experiences and expert knowlege to exceed the client's vision and expectations for their day. Often being interviewed by local and national publications, they are the go-to gals for all things wedding.
"There is a meticulous plan that addresses every aspect of the wedding, from gown shopping all the way to bidding you farewell as we put you in the get-away car." owner, Heather Bryson
CED's approach to unforgettable events begins with understanding the client's wishes, and then tirelessly working to satisfy their needs. Firmly believing that a wedding day should be the most glamorous and euphoric day of a client's life, Bryson and her team dedicate their efforts unshelfishly to making that dream an enjoyable reality.
"We really develop a relationship with our clients in order to pull out their personalities and style, and then find avenues and nuances to express that over their wedding weekend." Hannah Chronis, lead designer.
All vendors are not created equally, and a budget can be unnecessarily wasted by selecting the wrong supplier.
"We strategically align clients with professional, quality vendors that also match the client's style, personality and budget". Erin Hunter Watters, lead planner

Heather Bryson, Founder / President
planner | designer | girl boss
loves :: glamour | witty memes | mexican food | glass of champs | TikTok <~ slightly embarrassed by this
current fascination :: convincing herself the pandemic will be over soon
Heather's intro to planning professionally began in 2007 as a planner with an established firm in uptown Charlotte. Finishing her contract as the firm closed it's doors, she founded Carolina Event Design in 2009. Seen as an industry leader, Heather thrives on being involved in the event community and has served on numerous boards and panels. Her passion for perfection, paired with her dedication to someone's event, really delivers an experience to a client that is unheard of.
When she isn't running Charlotte's premiere wedding and event planning boutique, you may find her digging through the local Homegoods for home decor, heading out of town with friends, playing referee to her rambunctious sons (Kiser and Steele), or walking around town with Shelby, her goldendoodle.
Erin Hunter-Watters
planner | designer | rap aficianado
loves :: sparkles | laughing at Heather's jokes | Tito's & Tonic | antiques | nerding it up at the next local museum | the perfect PB&J;
fun fact :: has dessert after every meal
Don't let her tiny appearance fool you, this chic knows how to get things done. Erin is lead by years of experience at some of the country's finest venues (The Greenbriar, Pinehurst, and The Ballantyne Hotel). Her love for a spreadsheet and eclectic sense of style has clients (and vendors) loving all things Erin.
When she's not planning or designing her next event, Erin enjoys traveling, watching ACC basketball with her hubby Pete, tickling their adorable sons (Jameson and Jett), and playing fetch with Gigi the Yorkie.
Hannah Chronis
planner | designer | goat mom
loves :: glitter | curling up with a good book | shark tank | mac & cheese | weekend trips to Charleston
fun fact :: challenges anyone to a Britney Spears karaoke singoff
Hannah loves cheering on the Tar Heels, strolling through downtown Waxhaw with her hubby, and volunteering with Young Life.
As a born and bred southerner with an editor’s eye and romantic’s heart, she combined her UNC education with her love of good food, style, and culture and dove head first into the journalism scene in Charleston, South Carolina, where she covered everything from cafe launches to Charleston Fashion Week.
Ready to return home to North Carolina, she jumped at the opportunity to become a writer and lead editor with Charlotte Wedding Magazine, diving right in to the wedding and event community where she has wowed vendors and clients with her natural abilty to plan and lead a vendor team. It was a natural move to the CED family as she was already a familiar face with the insight to know what it takes to be successful in this grueling industry.
Hannah now resides in Waxhaw with her husband, Chuck, two rescue pups, Scout and Surry, and get this....her pygmy goats, Dolly, Daisy, and Moose. #coolestpetsever
